The Joy of My LifeI am an 84-year-old sister in the Lord. I was born in a Christian family, and was taught to live a good Christian life. At the age of 12, I accepted the Lord as my Lord and Savior, and was baptized to become a member of the church that I grew up in. I have always sung in choir, and in some places I have been an assistant organist. After my husband and I raised four children, we found ourselves alone. I became very restless and so dissatisfied with my so called “church work.” I could not understand why the Lord was letting me feel this way. So for a short time, I didn't attend church anywhere. I was in my late 50's about this time. Then I got a call from a pastor of a small group whom we knew quite well. He had a need for an organist, and I agreed to help him out. Little did I know what the Lord was doing. In their Sunday school class, they were reading The Release of the Spirit, by Watchman Nee. I was so excited about this book telling me that I had a human spirit, and that this is where God could contact me. He was a God in the heavens so far away, but now I learned that He is a God so available and He wants to get inside me and become my life. What a reality! So I started calling on His name “Oh Lord Jesus” and He became very living in me. He was making changes in my inner being, and after some time, I felt the need to put it all under the water through baptism. Ah, what a glorious baptism this was for me. I realized that much of my old self or old man was buried. Now He had room to fill me with Himself. We have been meeting with the local church for 28 years now, and are growing deeper and deeper into this wonderful Christ of ours. How much we thank the Lord for these two brothers in Christ, Watchman Nee and Witness Lee for ministering the Lord's precious words to us. He is building His church, His Bride, and transforming us into His image (2 Corinthians 3:18) and into His likeness. This is my reason for being here, and I give Him all the glory.
